Job Description:

The Optics Test Technician uses their skills to produce high quality electronic products with accuracy and attention to detail.
Main responsibilities will include but not limited to:

Assemble and test Mercury LCD products in accordance with documented work instructions to ensure the units meet specifications, tolerances, and customer requirements.
Responsible and accountable for producing quality work to prescribed standards, with a focus on continuous improvement.
Interpret assembly drawings and process flow instructions.
Must be trained across all optics assembly stages.
Work under minimal supervision.
Rely on experience and judgement to plan and accomplish assigned goals.
Resolve most questions and problems, referring only the most complex issues to higher levels.
Identify quality and reliability issues and submit recommendations for improvements.
Develop personal goals and objectives for continuous improvement in support of Company and Department goals and objectives
Maintain workplace organization.

To succeed in this role, you should have the following skills and experience

High school diploma or equivalent required; Vocational school or secondary education in electronics technology strongly preferred.
Two (2) years prior electronic assembly experience required.
Basic computer skills including Word and Excel
Regular, predictable attendance is required.
Must be willing to work overtime as necessary.
Ability to work effectively in a fast paced, ambiguous, and rapidly changing environment.
Aerospace/Aviation experience preferred.
Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
